Governance

The following committees and councils support the overall mission of Institutional Effectiveness:

  • University Assessment Council
  • General Education Committee
  • Strategic Planning Review Committee

University Assessment Council. The charge of the University Assessment Council (UAC) is to support the process of research-based, ongoing, integrated, institution-wide systematic planning, evaluation and continuous improvement across campus. Its primary function is in an advisory/supportive capacity to academic programs, service/support departments, and all other institutional units with respect to the assessment process.

General Education Committee. The General Education Committee exists to review, develop, and recommend policy regarding general education to the Committee on Academic Affairs and Standards, to recommend inclusion or exclusion of courses in the list of acceptable general education courses, and to participate constructively in assessment of the general education goals.

Strategic Program Review Committee. The Strategic Program Review Committee facilitates ongoing academic program review by implementing a regular internal review process.
